PHASE Asia Pacific is a conference for all educators focussed on physical education, health, athletics, sports, and experiential learning.  The conference allows participants to learn from leading authorities in their respective fields as well as from practitioner presenters, to network with fellow educators, and to access good practice and resources in multiple formats.

PHASE has evolved from the Asia Pacific Physical Education Conference (APPEC) which was a dedicated Physical Education & Wellness event for the Asia Pacific region starting in 2015.

Hi, my name is Josh and I'm passionate about all things PE, Health and Wellness! I have been involved in PE teaching for the last 17 years, coaching for 20+ years and playing sport all my life. However, I believe that we are now at an interesting stage in history where we need to meet the holistic wellness needs of children in schools. For years we have done an outstanding job of teaching physical wellness, and more recently social and emotional learning has become more prevalent. In my current doctoral studies I am researching deeply into adolescent mental health, resilience and well-being. I believe in providing strategies, approaches and learning that focus on prevention, rather than cure. More recently, I have developed a new initiatives called the 'Well Schools Project' which focuses on the physical, social and emotional, mental and psychological, cognitive and intellectual, and environmental aspects of wellness. I believe that it is time for PE and wellness educators to take a lead in schools to ensure the overall wellness of our students. Please feel free to get in touch if you would like to get involved or learn more.
