PHASE Asia Pacific is a conference for all educators focussed on physical education, health, athletics, sports, and experiential learning.  The conference allows participants to learn from leading authorities in their respective fields as well as from practitioner presenters, to network with fellow educators, and to access good practice and resources in multiple formats.

PHASE has evolved from the Asia Pacific Physical Education Conference (APPEC) which was a dedicated Physical Education & Wellness event for the Asia Pacific region starting in 2015.

Do you ever hear the words “PE is just an extra recess.” or “Anyone can teach PE.”? PE Teachers tend to be typecast into the Jock or Sportsperson + Coach role at most schools.

Carlos and Mel would like to invite you to consider what life might look like in your school with some other non-sport options and taking action in to create programs, activities, community etc. See examples of how you can apply all those skills and passions you have outside of you job role and learn how easy it can be to establish yourself as a leader in your school.

PE teachers have multiple skill sets that could set you on a different course of action and open up multiple opportunities to grow professionally including working with your community (school, region, online), building relationships with parents and being involved and/or leading school initiatives!
